Project Coordinator & Student Mentor

Jonathan qualified as a Science and Biology teacher from Trinity College in 2009 and spent time working in several DEIS schools and social development initiatives before joining Ringsend College in 2016.

Jonathan’s first school posting in Ballyfermot, Dublin, was a life changing experience. Shocked by the challenges and hardships his students’ faced, what started as a job soon became a life passion to see social change and equal opportunity for all. Motivated to see these societal changes, Jonathan went on to work with several NGOs in Ireland, the US and Morocco but eventually returned to Ireland with the belief that the most effective method of positive change in society was through education.

Jonathan is excited to be a co-creator of The Breakthrough Project and student mentor for the first cohort of participants. He has seen how change on an individual level can have exponential effects in the community and looks forward to being an instigator of such change in the heart of Dublin City.
